Connor was born on 9-9-1990 and shortly thereafter it
was obvious where his passion was…wheels. Stick and ball sports
were never an option and by the time he was 6 he found his love…go-karts.
At eight years old he began racing officially at Saugus Speedway, and
at age 10 he owned a Championship.Karting was a great tool in his development
but stock car racing was his passion and at age 14 he finally made it
to oval track racing. The series was Legend Cars, and he quickly made
a name for himself by setting two speedway records for being the youngest-ever ‘main
event winner’, and the youngest-ever ‘Rookie Of The Year’ as
a 14 year old racing in the Pro Division in an ‘Open Class’ at
Irwindale Speedway.
At age 16 he made the jump to the half mile at Irwindale in
the King Taco Super Truck Series (equal to typical Late Model
cars). He
again made quick progress by finishing 4th in points in his
first year and winning another ‘Rookie Of The Year’ award. For his
second year in the Truck he finished 2nd in points just 6 points away
from a Championship. In the 28 race two-year stint he compiled 6 Wins,
17 Top 5’s, 22 Top 10’s, and 8 Poles as he completely
dominated the very competitive series.
2009 was supposed to be his first year in the ARCA Series,
but due to a tough economy sponsorship backed out forcing
him to endure his first season with little to no time on the track.
The team
finally
made it to the track late in 2009 in the Auto Club Late Model
Series where he raced in just three events. In his first
outing Connor qualified
3rd and finished 6th surprising many in his first outing
in the very competitive series. He then posted two more top tens
as the
team experimented
with the new car for what will hopefully be a full schedule
in 2010.
